On October 27th, the Annual MPS Awards Show was held at Miller Piano Specialists in Franklin, Tennessee. The event showcased various performances, speeches, and multiple awards, as well as a special presentation by the renowned international pianist, Caio Pagano. Additionally, the event coincided with the North American tour of the Kayserburg KA275 flagship 9′ Concert Grand, which was introduced during the event.
The MPS Awards Show, which was arranged and led by General Manager Sherry Carlisle Smith, follows a similar format to the People’s Choice and CMA award shows. The awards showcase includes nominees from both Nashville-area and national performers, many of whom have previously appeared at Miller Piano Specialists’ live events. The nominees are selected by local fans, adding to the community spirit of the show.

Ed Bazel, Lifetime Achievement and Composer of the Year
Dino Pastin, a Producer/Entertainer, received the Instrumentalist of the Year award, while Karen Dee, a singer/songwriter, was named Vocalist of the Year. Birdie Nicol, a promising musician/vocalist, was awarded the Horizon Award, and Ed Bazel, a contemporary pianist and philanthropist, was recognized with both the Lifetime Achievement and Composer of the Year awards.
Keith Burns, a founding member of the platinum-selling Trick Pony, received both the Songwriter and Entertainer of the Year awards. Meanwhile, Ross and Sylvia Miller, the owners of Miller Piano Specialists, were recognized with the Lifetime Achievement award for their immense contributions to music education and local musicians. With over four decades of experience in the piano industry, the Millers established Miller Piano Specialists in 2002, which has since become a vital part of the Nashville music community.

During the event, Leng Tshua, the Global Sales and Marketing Director of Pearl River Piano Group, and his wife Shirley Zhang were esteemed guests. Tshua played a vital role in the US tour of Kayserburg KA275, which debuted at Oklahoma Pianos in Broken Arrow in September.
Throughout the evening, performers and musicians who attended the event expressed their admiration for the Kayserburg Artists Series Concert Grand, which was used for various performances. The KA275, which is handmade by guild system artisans from 8,000 precisely matched components, is renowned as the pinnacle of German craftsmanship.
